RC1500 Series of Single Axis Controllers
The RC1500 series has a 2X16 LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), 16 key keypad, dual speed, 36 volt DC, 8 AMP drive with electronic overcurrent protection. They are designed for pulse type position sensors. Built in support for a polarotor feed control servo. Each systems is designed to accept RC2KPOL daughterboards. They can be configured for 115/230 VAC input power in the field. Comes standard with RS-422 Serial Communications interface. The user should specify line cord type and satellite list – U.S. or international.

RC2000 Series of Dual Axis Controllers

RC2000A Dual Axis Antenna Controller These controllers are used for geostationary satellites only and any dual axis mount. Includes RS-422 comm port with PC software, and supports either RC2KPOL or RC2KHPP feed options.

RC2000C Inclined Tracking Controller This controller combines tracking capability and feed drive control. The user must specify mount type: Polar, El over Az or Az over El. The controller uses tracking algorithms, step track and memory track. This controller has memory for 38 satellites, five of which may be inclined. It is also available with an optional automatic search program. The RC2KPOL rotating feed drive board option is also available with this system. (See option below)

RC2KPOL – Feed Drive This rotating feed drive is designed to interface with the Seavey model ESD-124D 4 port motorized feed (24VDC, 500 miliamps max) with potentiometer feedback.

RC2KHPP – High Power Feed Drive This rotating feed drive option is designed to interface with motorized feeds with potentiometer feedback. Provides 5 to 40 volts DC at (3 amps Maximum).

RC2500 Resolver-Based 3-Axis Antenna Controller with Remote Control Capability
For use with larger antennas equipped with resolver type position sensors that employ an AIU (antenna interface unit) to power the antenna’s motors. Models are available that interface directly with Andrew and Vertex AIUs. Versions are also available to retrofit obsolete controllers from Harris, Scientific Atlanta, NPL, and ElectroSpace.
RC2500A Satellite Antenna Controller These controllers are designed to operate with geostationary satellites. A single Az/El position is stored in memory for each satellite.

RC2500B Satellite Antenna Controller This system has the same options and abilities as the ‘A’ but includes inclined orbit tracking capabilities as well. The controller comes equipped with tracking algorithms, step track and memory track, as well as an optional automatic search program. Automatic polarization tracking is not supported.

2500 Pol Pot Board The 2500 series includes a polarization potentiometer interface option. This interface module allows a potentiometer to be employed as the polarization position sensor.

Autopilot DLM, Downlink Manager for Windows
Automated software provides scheduled satellite downlink control in a Windows environment.
Features: continuously updated status windows, daily or weekly scheduling, automatic event conflict checking, a “MACRO” function, and provides greater flexibility for transponder formatting. The baseline version of AutoPilot supports the RC1000 (obsolete), RC1500, RC2000, and RC2500 Research Concepts antenna controllers along with the following receivers: DX657 or Standard 930, 830 and 830BR. Smart Booster II Power Booster This power booster features a desktop enclosure, eight amp dual solid-state outputs, 120/230VAC 50/60Hz input switch, and electronic overload monitoring. The booster has dual outputs to power the antenna’s AZ/EL axis. It does not support simultaneous movement of both axis, however. Specify 115V or 230V line cord.
